When searching for memorial jewelry

A few years ago, I started my memorial jewelry business after recognizing a need for high-quality memorial pieces at prices that families could genuinely afford. From the beginning, my goal has been to build a business based on trust, compassion, and collaboration. My HALO (Honour A Loved One) memorial jewelry involves my customers throughout every step of the design process so that together we create the meaningful memorial piece they envision. Over the years, many of my customers have become friends, and that is something I will always be grateful for.

In recent years, I've noticed more businesses beginning to offer memorial jewelry similar to what Norquay Jewellers creates. In many ways, I think that's a positive thing. Most of the memorial artists and jewelers I've met share the same values, and we often refer customers to one another when we know another artist is better suited to bring a client's vision to life. Our shared goal is to help people during one of the most difficult times in their lives by making the process of creating a lasting tribute as meaningful, stress-free, and rewarding as possible.

Unfortunately, not every business approaches memorial jewelry with the same level of care. Over the past while, I've spoken with several people who came to Norquay Jewellers after disappointing experiences elsewhere. They described receiving items that didn't match what they ordered, incorrect sizes, or designs that were completely different from what they had approved. Even more concerning, some told me they struggled to get responses when they reached out for help. Hearing these stories has been both surprising and discouraging.

What troubles me most is that memorial jewelry isn't just another purchase. Families are entrusting someone with a precious part of their loved one, and that deserves the highest level of respect, communication, and craftsmanship. When that trust is broken, it can leave people feeling hurt and hesitant to work with other memorial artists who genuinely care about helping them.

If there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's this: take the time to research the person or company you're trusting with your loved one's remains. Read reviews, ask questions, look through their previous work, and don't be afraid to communicate with them before making your decision. A reputable memorial jeweler will welcome your questions, keep you informed throughout the process, and treat both you and your loved one's remains with the care and respect you deserve.

At Norquay Jewellers, that commitment has always been at the heart of what I do, and it always will be
